The Association of Computer and Information Science and Engineering Departments at Minority Institutions (ADMI) held a board meeting and strategy session at Elizabeth City State University on December 15, 16, and 17, 2010.  The meetings were held at the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) in Dixon-Patterson Hall. The ADMI board was welcomed by Dr. Harry Bass, Dean of the School of Mathematics, Science and Technology.  The Board elected new officers and focused on the upcoming Annual Symposium, April 14-16, 2011, at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina.

The second part of the week was a strategy session focusing on Cloud Computing. This session featured speakers such as Dr. Geoffrey Fox of Indiana University who spoke on his project FutureGrid. Dr. Fox was the General Chair of the 2nd IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing Technology and Science held at Indiana University in December, 2010. Two others who attended the Cloud Computing Conference, Dr. Felecia Doswell and Dr. Aurelia Williams of Norfolk State University, joined the meeting via videoconference and presented information gathered while at the conference.
