ADMI 2025 :: Purpose/Goals ADMI 2025 Student Support | Call for Participation

Purpose
The purpose of the ADMI Symposium is to serve as a forum through which faculty and students in computer science and engineering departments at minority institutions may:

  • Exchange information and ideas for improving the quality and effectiveness of computer and engineering education at minority institutions.
  • Identify and seek viable solutions to problems relevant to computer and engineering education at minority institutions.
  • Communicate concerns and suggestions for the improvement of computer and engineering education at minority institutions to appropriate organizations, agencies and groups.
  • Work for the continued development of excellence in teaching, state-of-the-art curriculum, research and equipment enhancement in computer and engineering education at minority institutions.
  • Work for increased support in the continued professional advancement of faculty in computer and engineering education at minority institutions.
  • Solicit and assist in the soliciting of funds for achieving the above stated objectives.
 

Goals

The goals of ADMI are to:

  • Support research initiations, continuation at member minority institutions.
  • Serve as an advocated/lobbyist for minority institutions interest at funding agency forums, both public and private.
  • Exchange information and educational training techniques.
  • Identify and seek viable solutions to problems relevant to the disciplines.
  • Exchange information and ideas for improving the quality and effectiveness of computer science/engineering at minority institutions.
  • Work for the continued development of excellence teaching, state-of-the-art curriculum, research, and equipment enhancement.
  • Strive for increased support on the continued professional advancement of faculty and;
  • Solicit and assist in the soliciting of funds for achieving the above stated objectives.
