2026 ADMI CODEATHON COMPETITION
The ADMI26 Codeathon is a fast-paced, two-hour collaborative coding experience designed for undergraduate students interested in computing, data science, and emerging technologies. Participants will work in teams of 3–5 students, with teams formed at the start of the event to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and new connections across institutions.
During the Codeathon, teams will design and develop a technical solution using real-world data while leveraging modern Generative AI platforms to accelerate ideation, coding, and content creation. Students will be encouraged to thoughtfully incorporate AI tools as part of their workflow, demonstrating responsible and effective use of generative technologies.
At the conclusion of the session, each team will deliver a short presentation showcasing their solution, explaining their technical approach, and reflecting on how AI tools supported their development process.
Participants Will Gain Experience In:
- Applied data analysis and rapid prototyping
- Generative AI tool integration in software development workflows
- Prompt engineering and iterative AI refinement strategies
- Responsible and ethical AI usage
- Collaborative problem-solving in team environments
- Technical storytelling and presentation skills
- Communicating complex ideas clearly under time constraints
What to Bring
Participants must bring their own laptop with internet access capability. Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.) is helpful but not required. Curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate are strongly encouraged.
This Codeathon is designed to simulate real-world innovation environments where technical skills, AI fluency, teamwork, and communication intersect to solve complex challenges within a limited time frame.
